DARE

DARE's primary mission is to provide students with the skills they need to live drug and violence-free lives. DARE has evolved over the past 25 years from resisting drug abuse to internet safety and cyber-bullying. The Naugatuck Police Department Dare Officers work to foster positive relationships between students, teachers, parents and law enforcement officers, while teaching the students to focus on their individual strengths and potential. Currently, Naugatuck Police Department has four certified DARE officers who instruct the program to over 500 students yearly at the 5th grade level.
