The accused’s arrest stems from an incident on 7/23/18 in which an officer observed the accused operating a stolen vehicle on North Main Street. The officer located the accused at the Sunoco Station 555 North Main Street Naugatuck, CT. During the course of attempting to take the accused into custody he fled the scene on foot and eluded attempts to apprehend him at that time. It was later determined that the accused had burglarized a residence during the course of his fleeing from police. Through investigative efforts the subject’s identity was determined and arrest warrants were secured.
On 7/31/2018 Naugatuck Police Detectives developed information that the accused was could be located at the Naugatuck Motor Lodge. During the course of taking the accused into custody he became resistive and combative toward officers. The accused also had an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear. The accused was ultimately held for these four cases on bonds totaling $167,000 pending his appearance at Waterbury Superior Court on 8/1/2018.
