8/31/2016 - 8/31/16 NPD Call Activity Report

Good Wednesday morning all,

The weather is looking a little overcast and there is a slight chance of passing showers during the day… this being the case remember that it has not rained in a while and roads can get slick from elements on the roadways mixed with the rain, so please drive carefully …. And slow down if it’s raining!!

Some items to note from Yesterday’s Call Activity Blotter, there was a vandalism reported on Tudor lane back on 8/23/16 of a mailbox and post which appeared to have been hit purposely hit with a blunt object, possibly a bat. A drive through the area showed that several mailboxes on the street had been damaged. Officers are still investigating this but are looking for any tips …

Also - there was a break in to a commercial building on Conrad St. reported last night and a larceny from a motor vehicle was reported on High Street at about 11:45 PM last night …. The victim reported that a laptop and wallet were stolen ….

The NPD reminds everyone to PLEASE make sure your “things” …. (IE: Homes & Cars ….) are locked – and also make certain that you are removing … or at least hiding …your valuables from/in your car upon securing it ….

…If anyone has any information on these vandalism’s or thefts you are urged to contact the Naugatuck PD at 203-729-5221 or the NPD Confidential Tip Line at 203-720-1010.
