5/2/2016 - 5/2/16 - Weekend NPD Call Activity Report

Good Monday morning all,

The weather pattern is going to be “unsettled” for the next week … “unsettled” as in its going to really “stink” at times! … The temps are cool but will start to rebound – however there is a chance of rain each day this week … please use caution when driving on the wet roads and leave yourselves some extra time!

The NPD weekend blotter showed officers were busy – the national campaign in which we participated in targeting distracted drivers has ended, however officers will still be enforcing these violations along with other motor vehicle violations … so please remember to save those distracted activities until the drive is completed.

The NPD received three vandalism complaints over the weekend – we had tires slashed on cars in two locations (Reported @ 933 Rubber Ave on  5/1/16 @ 8:42 PM & 184 Maple street on 4/29/16 @ 10:14 PM). The third was to a home on Crown Street. We ask for citizens to watch for any suspicious activity and to report these incidents to us as soon as possible.
