2/5/2016 - NPD FACEBOOK POST - THE NAUGATUCK WINTER PARKING BAN EXPLAINED!
Happy Friday everyone,

Ok – Yesterday was spring… Today is winter – I guess as well it should be seeing as it is only February 5th! Anyhow – with the snow today comes NO SCHOOL IN THE BOROUGH for the kids and the winter parking ban for the adults …. You can thank me later!

So, Let me explain the Borough winter parking ban as I hear sometimes from residents that it is a little hard to read and understand the way its laid out – So I’m going to give you the very simple version !

FIRST – Whenever it snows – YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARK ON ANY PUBLIC ROAD! …. This is correct, you read that right! – NO PARKING ON ANY PUBLIC ROAD! …. It does not get any simpler than this … right?? …. I mean that’s it – the parking ban in its simplest form means NO PARKING ON ANY PUBLIC ROAD – End of Winter Parking Ban explanation….

…. Except ….

….. The EXEMPTIONS!! – So here’s where it gets tricky – The Winter Parking Ban excludes all vehicles from parking on any public road EXCEPT – those specified locations outlined in the Borough of Naugatuck Winter Parking Ban exemption list …. BTW – This EXEMPTION list is posted on the Borough of Naugatuck web page at the following link:

 http://www.naugatuck-ct.gov/content/117/362/1044/154.aspx.

…. So, If your street is listed on the exemption list – YOU CAN park on your street in the described manner listed on the list – FOR EXAMPLE, If you live on BeeBe Street, you can park on the street on the EVEN number side of the road – for the entire length of BeeBe Street…. Pretty simple – Right?

Okay – Hope that was helpful…. Please remember that the winter parking ban begins at the start of snow fall and lasts until 12 hours after it stops.
