1/29/2016 - NPD FACEBOOK POST 1.29.16 / Npd Act Rpt & Retirements

Greetings everyone,

Its finally Friday…. Told you we would make it!

Well, Today the NPD family loses two of its fixtures for the better part of the last twenty years. Today is the last day of service for Detective Lieutenant Greg Dean and Detective Sergeant Randy Ireland. If you have had any dealings with the NPD over the last twenty years you have likely come into contact with one of these two officers…. That should be a good thing, but it is possible you could have caught Sergeant Ireland on a bad day!.... Seriously,  The NPD loses another two good veteran officers who have dedicated themselves to the Borough of Naugatuck and its community for their entire careers! At the end of the work day today Both the L-T and Sarge will exit the NPD as retired officers….on behalf of all the men and women of the NPD we wish them health and happiness in the next chapter of their lives … Thank you for your service gentlemen!

Ok… In other business, the NPD had another busy day with 129 Calls for service – here are some of the highlights along with the Thursday NPD Activity Report;

6 Ambulances (Medical Assist Calls)

46 Door checks / Burglar Alarm checks (Residential / Commercial)

26 Motor Vehicle enforcement stops (Including Regional Traffic Unit Enforcement)

5 Motor Vehicle Accidents (Not serious)
