1/11/2016 - 1.11.16 NPD weekend Calls & Arrests reports

Good Monday Morning everyone …

We are experiencing a bit colder weather than we had this weekend … bundle up !!

The NPD had an active weekend - the Weekend PD activity report is attached covering Friday/Saturday / Sunday - here are some of the highlights:

NPD handled 460 calls

We investigated two missing persons cases - both were located safe and unharmed…however one was arrested after he was found to have falsely reported he was kidnapped …and did so utilizing the 911 call system (See Juvenile arrest CN# 16-1052)

The was a commercial burglary to the Family Market on Rubber Ave early Saturday Morning … No residential burglaries occurred - which was great, but we are still asking all residents to remain alert. Continue reporting anything suspicious to us (we received over 25 suspicious persons / vehicle calls over the weekend) - this info helps us greatly …. And please lock all doors and windows & arm your security alarms and cameras if you have them.

There was a report of vandalism to three motor vehicles on Oak Street on Friday night / early Saturday morning….  Some items were taken from those vehicles - as with homes, please make certain your cars are secured.

NPD also conducted numerous motor vehicle stops throughout town - we remind citizens to drive the speed limit, stop for stop signs and to not utilize cell phones while driving. These are among a few of the violations our officers are finding on a regular basis.

That’s all I have to report for now - please have a great Monday! …. We will be here….
