1/2/2016 - 1/2/16 NPD Update and daily blotter

Saturday 1/2/16

Good second day of January everyone - Here’s the 6:30 AM-6:30 AM overnight blotter for Friday 1/1/16 -1/2/16:

We had another burglary reported to us on Aetna Street - homeowner came home to find the basement window broken - but they also discovered they left the back door of the home unsecured. This one appears to have happened again in the morning - we would like to remind everyone to please secure all windows and doors of their homes - arm your home alarms and monitoring devices and cameras and please be vigilant…

Know that the NPD has stepped up patrol in all residential areas - but we ask for all citizens to help us by letting us know if you see anything or anyone suspicious … this goes for all areas of town and particularly on the west side where we have been getting hit… (NPD 203-729-5222 / Tip Line 203-720-1010).

We had a couple larcenies reported yesterday ….some packages taken from the porch of a home on Pleasant Ave and some lawn ornaments stolen from a home on Spencer Street (… I guess the “Grinch” has not yet left the building!)… on that note - a reported vandalism to a mail box was also received from a residence on Dorman Drive …. Again everyone, please keep an extra eye out and report anything unusual to us!

So there are the highlights - feel free to browse through them …. On a side note, I have changed the format in which I am posting the daily blotter - its in photo form which will allow those following us on Iphones and other smart devices to easily view them…. Remember that the blotter is also posted on our web page at www.naugatuckpd.org under the “Arrests and Press Releases” section.

Have a great weekend everyone …. We will be here….
