10/29/2015 - NPD Facebook Post _ Too Bad Arrest Review for 10.29.15

Greetings all –

This week I have only one “Too Bad” arrest to report back to you – but I promise it’s a good one!

The lesson this week is clear … we all get frustrated at some of the things people do when they drive – but confronting them can become dangerous…. Its always best to let the police handle it – and even then, WE will have our hands full….As will be demonstrated by this weeks Too Bad review!!

So lets jump right into it here ….before we begin though – here is my usual disclaimer:
"All persons in these segments are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law and we reserve the right to change the names of those involved (if names are used at all) to protect the innocent" ...

Home Bound Rage Roader:

On October 26, 2015 at about 6:15 PM Officers were called to Ward Street on a complaint of a physical altercation. Dispatchers were advised that a white male had been driving erratically on Ward Street and when the vehicle operator was yelled at to slow down by several residents – the vehicle operator stopped and assaulted one of the residents.

… Now – this is clearly a situation where most of us would have acted much the same as all tehse residents did – car speeding through your neighborhood and you yell to the car to slow down… but keep in mind there are crazy’s out there in the world that genuinely feel they do no wrong and that NO ONE has the right to tell them what to do … or not to do….

Luckily witnesses were present and called police and also obtained a vehicle description and registration as he fled. Witnesses further advised that the resident that was assaulted had his two children with him and not only assaulted him in front of them – but witnesses advised that the operator threatened to come back and shoot all of them… This character is quite a piece of work!

Responding officers located the vehicle near Elm street and when they attempted to stop it – the operator fled… Several police units pursued the vehicle for a short distance where the vehicle was observed to violate a plethora of motor vehicle violations (…you like the use of the word “plethora” there didn’t you…. For those of you older than the age of 35 – you fully realize I leaned that word from the movie “The three amigos”….Plethora ….). Officers discontinued the pursuit however just before doing so, an officer was able to briefly pull alongside the vehicle and got a good look at the suspect …. The officer motioned to the man to stop and pull over …. At which time he looked back at the officer and told him to have sexual relations with himself (not in those exact terms!!)… The officers broke off the pursuit after obtaining a positive ID on the vehicle and a good visual description of the operator / suspect.

- The vehicle was then tracked back to Golden Hill Street where the vehicle was registered and the  suspect was located exiting the suspect vehicle…. Upon seeing officers the subject fled and ran into the home… once officer saw the man get into his home – they realized they had been beaten and all got back in their cars and drove away….. OF COURSE NOT!! – Ill never fully understand why some people run from the police and then run to and into to their homes…. You’d think they would flee and just keep going… to like – Mexico or something…. Nope – right to their houses…. Do they actually think “They’ll NEVER find me here!!”???

…When confronted the suspect started crying and begged for forgiveness… he offered to apologize to all involved and pay for the injuries he may have caused to the man he assaulted ….and to pay for the therapy for his kids having witnessed the assault… The man further pledged to take a drivers education course and enroll in anger management sessions… This man was truly sorry for his actions….. …… …… And if you believe ANY of that – I have prime ocean front real-estate I’d like to sell you located on the border of North and South Dakota!!

Of course when confronted – he fought… Not just fought he kicked, fought, brawled, scrapped …. Even tussled with officers … who were eventually able to get him under control and into custody….

… Upon placing the subject into custody he was transported to the NPD Bed and Breakfast… where he was placed into the “man I really need anger management” suite…. It’s a popular room at the NPD B&B….

So our “foul mouthed -bad driving - assaulting and leaving  -Gun threatening – fleeing  from the scene … only to run home – not to Mexico … and fight with police” guest was held on a $100,000.00 bond and appeared in Waterbury Superior Court the next morning….

So that’s it – just one “Too Bad” arrest review this week… but you have to admit – it’s a good one!

We will be back next week with a new “Too Bad” arrest review… Until then – We will be here!!
