All roads including Diamond Street have been reopened near the location of the earlier structure fire at 19 Diamond Street.
The incident is still under investigation by the Naugatuck FD and PD and a cause has not yet been determined.

***UPDATED STATUS***  /  STRUCTURE FIRE / ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE

Lower Spring Street has reopened between Anderson St. and Bridge St. however Diamond St. remains closed to traffic as Fire Department personnel continue to investigate the fire. There is no estimate as to how long Diamond st. will be closed.

At about 11:00 am the Naugatuck FD and PD responded to 19 Diamond Street on a report of a house fire. Naugatuck FD remains on scene at this time for a structure fire at the home however no reported injuries have been reported and everyone has been evacuated from the residence.
As a results of the fire roads around the home have been shut down to traffic. The roads affected include Spring St between Bridge Street and Anderson Street and Diamond Street. It is expected that the roads will be shut down for the next few hours.

Residents are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid being delayed.
