Greetings everyone -

The Travel Ban is still in effect in Naugatuck and is expected to remain in place while crews continue to clear roads throughout the Borough...Our officers have been out all night and have handled all
sorts of calls including; 12 medical calls, several domestic disputes (something about the snow....) ... and of course ...there was one shoplifting from Walmart...(ill work on the Too Bad narrative later!) ...

Most of you have stayed off the roads ...and we thank you...we had only three MV accidents since the storm started - with only one of those occurring after the ban started, but it took place on Private property....

However...We had 68 - (thats Sixty Eight) - vehicle related issues concerning parking and the snow ban... This includes a good amount of those that were towed...since yesterday....many of those are being handled again this morning as town trucks get to the various streets...As you can see...We are spending a lot of time dealing with these issues....far more than we should have to...But "so it is"....and it will also be so for those that find their cars in "lock up" this morning!!

On a final note - The Mayor advised that trash and recycling has been pushed back one day...this means if you were Tuesday - you are now Wednesday, etc....(Let me know if any of you need help deciphering that pattern!)...

We will keep you informed of any changes to the travel ban....and any other updates we can push along...Dont forget that you can call 203-720-7071 with any storm related questions...

....and as always - we will be here if you need us...
