On Wednesday July 18th, 2019 the Naugatuck PD investigated the following incidents of interest:

79 Total Calls

  • 5 Ambulance (Medical Assist Calls)
  • 17 Patrol Checks / Burglar Alarm Checks (Residential / Commercial)
  • 15 Motor Vehicle Enforcement Stops
  • 3 Motor Vehicle Accidents (none serious)
  • 2 Assaults
  • No Larcenies
  • No Vandalisms
  • No Burglaries
  • No Stolen MVs
  • No Robberies

2 Arrests: 1 Illegal Dumping/Drug related and 1 Domestic Assault.

COOLING CENTER INFORMATION

  1. The Library will be open Friday 10:00 to 1:00 and Saturday 10:00 to 2:00.
  2. At other times residents are being directed by the media to contact Fran Dambowsky at 203 910—7493.
  3. Should residents have a need for immediate emergency sheltering, they may contact or stop at the Fire Department or Police Department.
    1. NPD & NFD may then contact Fran Dambowsky.
  4. We will continually assess the need for cooling centers based on the number of requests.
  5. Dependent upon the number of requests received, we may make the Event Center available as a cooling center.
  6. The Naugatuck CERT has been put on standby to assist at the cooling center.
  7. There will not be overnight sheltering available.
  8. Residents are encouraged to seek assistance from family & friends who have air conditioning
  9. Residents can also be directed to call 211 for information regarding other Region 5 cooling centers.

 

We will continue to discuss additional options for cooling centers.
