The
Naugatuck PD represented again at this year’s 8th Annual Battle of the
Badges bench press competition at Yale University's Pratt Whitney gym.
The competition see’s teams from Police, EMS, Fire Departments and the
public…. The three person teams pay $20 each (walk-ins welcome) and can
be all male, all female or co-ed. Males must bench press 75% of their
weight and females 50% of their weight for max reps. … Proceeds of the
competition will go to Smilow Cancer Center at Yale New Haven Hospital for breast cancer research.
Naugy Officers Baskins, Martinez and Pinho … Known as the "Borough
Boys" … Are defending champions of the event and benched a combined 158
Reps… and again are this years winners!
