PRESS RELEASE
January 4, 2018
On 1/3/18 at approximately 3:18 AM Naugatuck Police was dispatched to a
reported armed robbery at Cumberland Farms located at 69 Rubber Avenue
in Naugatuck (NPDCN# 18-182).
Witnesses reported the suspect displayed a weapon and stole approximately $130.00 in cash and 50 boxes of cigarettes.
The suspect stuffed the stolen merchandise into a bag. The suspect was
reported to be wearing a half mask covering the lower half of his face,
black hoody, and black pants. The suspect is described as a heavy set
Caucasian male, approximately 5’9” tall with scars on his forehead.
Suspect had a small duffle bag or a satchel style bag. The suspect
stuffed the stolen merchandise into the bag before fleeing. Witnesses
reported that the suspect may have fled in a car, possibly a dark in
color sedan.
