The NPD has been having continuing problems with ATV’s being operated
on the road and with them being operated on prohibited properties. The
latest incidents have been ATV’s at the new dog park and another that
tore up fields on Country Hollow Road. The NPD reminds citizens that ATV
operation is only legal on authorized property. ATV use is NEVER legal
on public roadways … and more importantly they are not designed to be
used on the roadway and are very susceptible to crashes when being
operated on pavement with off road tires.
The photos attached
with this post are of the rider utilizing the vehicle at the new dog
park on Saturday 9/17/16… besides riding where it is prohibited he is
riding in a very unsafe manner ,with a small child on his lap … both
without helmets … The NPD is looking for help in identifying this
individual, If anyone has information on the identity of this subject
you are urged to contact the Naugatuck PD at 203-729-5221 or the NPD
Confidential Tip Line at 203-720-1010.
