Good Tuesday morning all,
The weather this week looks to be great … starting with today where the sun will be shinning…. Use caution while driving in that sunshine and use sunglasses!!
It’s been relatively quiet in these parts over the past few days …. There are still concerns of cars being broken into …. Particularly while left unsecured … so we again remind everyone to please lock your cars and to secure your valuables.
Several news outlets have reported this morning that some police agencies are reminding citizens to be cautious in light of a new twist to the “IRS Scam” …. If you recall the “IRS Scam” involves “less desirable” that call and claim you owe the IRS money … and demand that you pay or be arrested …. And request payment via a credit card or wire transaction ….. This has now evolved into the use of “ITunes Gift Cards” ….
….. I would like to make perfectly clear that the IRS is in no way- shape or form …. “Hip” enough to accept payment via “ITunes” …. I don’t like to stereo type …. But if you have ever conversed with an IRS representative you would know that my words are true …… PLEASE – DO NOT give the IRS money through this scam …. The IRS will NEVER demand payment in lieu of arrest nor will they demand payment via credit cards or wire transactions …. And pretty certain we can add the ITunes gift card to that list of NEVER’s as well….
