The weekend clouds and showers have moved out and it looks like a return to sunshine … and heat this week …. Use your sunglasses and stay hydrated …. Hellooooo Summer!!!
We had a relatively quiet weekend here in the borough however there were several larcenies reported from some homes in businesses …. On Friday some lawn equipment was reported stolen from School Street … Saturday a pallet of wood was reported stolen from Great Hill Road …. Sunday a pressure washer was reported taken from a residence on Hilltop and a table and propane tank was reported stolen from a back yard on Loranne Drive….
These thefts are all presumably happening: ……A) by people ….. and B) most likely with the use of vehicles … again, presumably driven by people …. I say this only because squirrels, bears, chipmunks, birds, and other wildlife typically don’t have much use or need for the items that were reported taken …. Ok, I guess you can make an argument on the wood for a beaver or woodpecker …. But …. You know where I’m going with this!! …
…. If my theory is correct … (that these items were taken by “People” utilizing “vehicles” ) …. This amounts to what we call in the business “Suspicious Persons …. and “Suspicious Vehicles”
…. We ask that everyone stay vigilant and watch out for your own stuff of course … but help your neighbors out as well …. If you see ANY suspicious persons or vehicles …doing ANYTHING suspicious … please call us as soon as possible so we can check it out … And …. if my theory is not correct we will refer the calls to animal Control …
