Good Friday morning all,
Finally hit the weekend and the weather looks…well … better than last weekend! We have a limited chance of snow at least…this is great news seeing as we closing in on the middle of April!!
The NPD has had a busy week and the weekend is expected to be equally as busy. You may have noticed our numbers have spiked a little in the Motor Vehicle Enforcement Stops over the past week – this is in part due to our patrol units and or traffic unit stepping up patrols for the nationwide “Distracted Driving Enforcement” campaign…
…The Naugatuck PD is partnering with the CT Highway Safety Office to crack down on drivers who choose to ignore Connecticut’s mobile phone laws. The campaign will run through the end of April… so please – put the cell phones down while driving and help us to keep the roads safe from distracted drivers!!
