Hope everyone had a great weekend – for some the weekend is a day longer in observation of Martin Luther King day, if that’s you – Enjoy!
The Naugatuck PD had a busy weekend – Several DWI arrests were made over the weekend by our patrol and NPD traffic unit officers These officers have done a great job of ridding the streets of intoxicated motorists, but we would much prefer to not have them on the road to begin with….

The NPD weekend call activity report is attached and it shows the NPD handled over 360 calls over the weekend …. There were no burglaries, car break ins or vandalisms (…except that it was reported that someone put the soccer goals on the frozen Baumers Pond on Mill Street ….One – don’t quite trust that Ice yet …. And, Come’on guys – that’s WAY too big for hockey!…..)
Numerous suspicious persons and vehicles were called in and / or observed by officers and checked … keep the calls coming folks – if it doesn’t look right, report it and we will check it out!
