11/17/2014 - NPD Facebook Post 11.17.14 - Monday Morning

Greetings everyone

Happy Monday morning to all…. Oh come on everyone, its not that bad… Its nice and warm….well, okay maybe not but at least its sunny….oh – oh, yea… right…..Okay, well at least its Wednesday and were…what?...Oh – oh yea, what am I saying… …Huh… Ok, yea – this stinks …its Monday and there is absolutely nothing great about it at all… okay, there I said it!!
…. However, I do have something we were all VERY interested in…. With me in this envelope (play along people…it’s a facebook post not a real TV show…)… where was I… Oh, Yea… In this envelope contains the winner of Round one of the “NPD’s Got Talent” competition held on Friday… Now I know I said that I would give the participants a 24 hour voting period…. But I must admit that I was fascinated by the “Like’s” race that was going on! (not to mention the comments) …So I let it go all weekend!!

Ok – Drum roll please…..ahh-huuummm…. I said DRUM ROLL PLEASE … (that’s more like it, thanks Admin Division)…. The runner up is… (This of course is the nice way to say “The Loser Is”…. Any whoo…) Officers Favale and Jacoboski doing their Brazillian Samba!!! Congrats on losing fellows!!

….Now, The winner of Round one… the boys from the DB…. doing the “Soul Train Supergroovalicious Jam” … Det Paul Markette and Det / Sgt randy Ireland!!! … Congrats boys, you move on to the championship round!!

Our next round will be posted up later today …. Thanks for voting (and more importantly commenting!!) and thanks for supporting NPD’s Got Talent!!! – it really makes the guys feel good to be able to show off their talents and show we are not just “d-word eating, ticket writing machines!!

Ok – now to other business, The attached photos are from a November 13 tour of the PD for the Bears of Cub Scout Pack 115, Den 4 (8 kids total, plus about 6 adults). Officer Julian hosted the tour and was assisted by Sgt. Vostinak.
The scouts toured the PD including the Dispatch Area, the Detention Area, and the Report Room. The scouts were then shown a police car and witnessed an “arc test” demonstration of the police taser (….and no, this was not a scene out of “the hangover”!!) . The scouts were also outfitted with a bullet proof vest and a fully loaded leather duty bvelt (minus a handgun of course….just incase you were wondering!!) so they could feel how heavy these items are.
As you can see from the pics, fun was had by all… Thanks to Officer Jullian and Sergeant Vostinak for taking the time to do this tour!

Okay everyone, that is all I have for you this morning…. Have a great Monday and … we’ll be here if you need us!!
