LOCK YOUR CARS – DON’T LEAVE THEM RUNNING OR UNSECURED!
Please lock your cars and DO NOT leave your vehicle running with keys
in the ignition – There have been numerous car thefts reported in the
Naugatuck Valley area where cars have been stolen from driveways &
parking lots.
On the 2/12/18 Weekend the Naugatuck PD investigated the following incidents of interest:
• Missing Person Christine CARRERO / 16 Yrs Old (Reported Missing on 2/5/18)
• Illegal Dumping – Hunters Mountain Rd – Rpt’d Sunday 2/11/18 at 9:00 AM – TV Dumped off roadway
• Attempted Larceny – Rubber Ave - On Sunday 2/11/18 at about 5:14 PM
NPD responded to a complaint of a possible fuel siphoning larceny at
Stop & Shop. The witness stated they observed a white male (20-30
Yrs Old with a thin build) with a white Chevy minivan parked close by.
When approached the male suspect suddenly became nervous and the witness
reported seeing a hose sticking out of his vehicle’s gas tank while
another suspect placed a gas cap on his vehicle’s tank. The two parties
left in the van.
• Vandalism / Attempted Larceny - Conrad St –
(RPT’d Sat @ 3:15 PM) – Vehicle fuel fill door damaged from attempted
fuel larceny.
