How Do I hire an officer for extra duty?

For any extra duty requests, contact Jobs4Blue at 877-425-8330, or on their website Jobs4Blue .

Naugatuck Police Officers can be hired to work extra duty assignments for the following situations:

  • Traffic Control
  • Crowd Control
  • Security Patrol

There is a set rate for officers regardless of rank. People or companies hiring police officers cannot request certain officers or officers of specific rank. Every effort is made to accommodate requests for extra duty officers, but there are times when staffing is unavailable. Vendors will be advised promptly if a job cannot be covered. Coverage of a job request is not guaranteed.

Extra duty requests are subject to review by the Naugatuck Police Department. The request may be refused if the duties are not consistent with the policies and procedures of the Naugatuck Police Department or against any laws or ordinances.
